They Walked Away, Then Came Back to Finish the Deal

​Sometimes the best deals are the ones that come back around.

My buyers found a home they loved. The inspection uncovered some issues, and when the seller declined to make repairs, they made the tough call to walk away. It wasn’t easy, but it was the right move at the time.

They took a few months off from actively searching but kept an eye on that home. Sure enough, it went under contract with another buyer and that deal fell through.

That’s when we made our move.

We came back with an offer right as another one came in. That competing offer was higher, but it couldn’t beat ours. Why? Because we approached it from a place of familiarity. We already knew exactly what we were walking into. The inspection was done. We made it clear: no repair requests this time. Our offer reflected that confidence.
We came to the table agreeable, professional, and focused on making it a win for both sides. Now we are officially under contract again and heading toward closing.

This is a testament to my buyers’ persistence and a reminder of why staying professional and cooperative with the other side matters. You never know when you will need to revisit the table again.
